Panasonic Eco-ideas pin! I’ve been looking for this pin for the longest time, and I finally got my hands on it! I think Quatchi looks so cute carrying the earth on his shoulders, and Miga looks so happy being carried by Q!

Miga with Maple Leaf pin of the month (June) pin! Miga looks so adorable peeking out from behind the maple leaf. This limited (300) pin is another step towards completing my pin of the month sets! I have a few pieces from the HBC and Vancouver online store sets already

YVR mascot totem pole pin! I got this pin through the good will of friends I’ve made through pin trading (despite some regret felt by a certain one of them ) It is one of my favourite pins for sure!

I also got another set of the Saputo mascot medal pins to trade! These pins are so nice and well-made. I looove engraved pins like this set and the Canada Post bronze mascot pin, which I’m still looking for. If you’re interested in these pins please take a look at my Wanted Pins page!

It was a great pin meet for me! I didn’t stay at the pin show for long though since the weather was gorgeous, compared to the dreary rainy days we’ve been having. I brought my pins with me for a hike in Lynn Valley to breathe some fresh air hehehe!

Introducing my brand new TV Tokyo Pikachu pin! Isn’t he just adorable I don’t know much about this pin at all, except that it was produced by TV Tokyo and only given out internally, and is one of the most coveted pins of the Olympics! It reached such high popularity that it was even reported in a local newspaper. I’m not entirely sure of its production run, but most likely not very high at all.

Next up is my Vancouver Host City pin in simplified Chinese, with the Taiwan backstamp. I was very happy to trade for this pin! It may not look special, but its backstory makes it a very interesting pin. It was produced for a special function, but because it has a “Taiwan” backstamp, and since China does not allow Taiwan to appear as a country on the international stage, it was ordered to be destroyed. This makes it a very special pin.  There is also a traditional Chinese version, which I’m still looking for!

I’ve also updated my pin collection page with properly organized pictures! I know the page was very disorganized with repeated pictures

I need to find another way to house my new pins as my first pin album is now completely filled. Hopefully when the Michael’s store opens near my work I’ll be able to find something suitable to store my pins in a safe and clean place.

I have also began to collect Coca Cola pin of the day pins. I’ve managed to get most of them for a good price, but of course, I’m still missing one of the rarest pins of this set, the day 6 pin. Please contact me if you have this pin for trade or sale!

Look at how happy Quatchi and Miga are, eating steamed dumplings, gai lan, and drinking tea! I LOVE dimsum and this pin sure makes me deliriously happy! I’m not sure what the story is behind this pin, so if anyone knows anything about it (quantities, origin etc) please let me know! I also got the Quatchi and Miga opening day pin, thanks to Joseph! That’s another step towards completing my POM pins, although I still have a long way to go!

Pin trading is such a great hobby, I love meeting new people and acquiring new pins, the feeling of getting a great pin is so awesome! Makes me giddy all day ^^ However, it is quite an expensive hobby, especially now that it’s getting harder and harder to trade pins since a lot of pin collectors/traders have most of the sought-after pins, and have very specific wishlists in mind. But I will not give up until I get most of the pins on my wishlist!

I FINALLY got one of the top most wanted pins from my list!!!!!!! *throws confetti* As you can see, Muk muk definitely has a good heart! Thanks to Joseph who was gracious enough to trade this with me!!! I am sooo happy, I can just stare at Muk’s cute face and smile like a dummy all day.

I also went to the Pacific Pin Club pin show today, and was not very successful as the number of my traders have dwindled to practically nothing (at least nothing that seasoned pin traders/collectors would need). But I did manage to trade for another set of pins from my wanted list!

Ta-da! The three Saputo medal pins!! I love them so much, and I was only able to trade for it with advice from my ingenious boyfriend hehehe =) This set and the x-ray Muk muk pins definitely made my day!

I have also recently acquired quite a few new pins, so I have updated my collection pics!

I am planning on buying some London 2012 pins, just the ones that relate to Canada. I’m not very keen on the logo and the design of many of their pins, and with the disappointing unveiling of the mascots, I will probably not be very interested in their pins at all. I’m hoping that I can get my hands on some of the rare Japanese media pins for London 2012 in the future though, because they’re always cute!

So here’s my little Quatchi in his new clothes. He’s the perfect size for these too! His legs are a tad bit too short for the pants though, but I think he looks cuter pant-less anyway.

Isn’t he adorable! *squishes* Now he can watch the game on Saturday with me and cheer the Canucks on! I’m planning on putting the number 1 on his back, since he’s a goalie and wants to be Luongo!

So today I acquired a super awesome pin that I just have to share! I don’t think it’s super rare since it’s a retail pin, but it lights up, which makes it an awesome pin in my books.
